Ohh yaa.. Pink is better than Mink :)

This could possibly be the happiest trend I have been apart of since I began my love for interior design! Pink, Pink, Pink... I am all over you. So a BIG color trend for 2011 is the color pink. This is so exciting I'm SMILING (teeth showing). The question is, are people going to be dedicated to the color pink? I already know I am.  The applications are endless! The feelings created are warm and happy!! Let's take a look, shall we?

OK here is one amazing application.. lighting. This is a really great feature found in this living room. This is a bold decision but a great one if this is your style. The light slowly changes color throughout the time it is on. The different lighting through the white drapery creates an excitement and anticipation of a change in mood. The fuchsia color gives off a flirty, uber-modern affect in juxtaposition to the furniture in the space.

Femininity is the goal in this design. I must start this out by saying... NOTICE: Philippe Starck Ghost Chair, what a beauty! The pink walls show that dedication to the color that I was wondering about. Even more, the accents of pink accessories makes this a room perfect for that feminine, sophisticated woman.

Here, again, showing that sophistication with a pop of magenta and the contrast it creates up again black and white. The tufting of the stools and the headboard brings somewhat of a softness to the bold color.

I have to appreciate this room. When I was a little girl I would have loved having this modern glamorous Barbie room. The different shades of pink correlate well with one another. It is soft, bright, fun, and playful and for every girl that loves Barbie would LOVE this pink dream room.

The previous three images are of the Gansevoort Hotel located in New York. Located in an upscale part of a major city, with high-end clientele, the design had to correspond with the luxury and trendiness of the city atmosphere. Through small accents, that make loud statements the incorporation of the honeysuckle color is displayed in a fashionable, modern way with the feeling of high-end modern design.

Accessorize! First off, I love the fierceness of pairing red and fuchsia accents together. This creates a bold and energized statement especially with the contrast of black and white. What a great way to incorporate pink in a minimal way but shouting "I love being a single woman!" YAY for being bold!

OH kitchen how I enjoy your look! I have stumbled across this kitchen a few times and I just love it more and more. With the softness of the light pink gloss cabinets and the modern style with no pulls and the sleekness of the rest of the kitchen this pink just sets it off for me. Plus I love baby pink.. so girly!

I have to admit I could not be happier seeing these pink designs as if they were in my own home! They are just so fabulous with a bold statement attached to them. This definitely makes me love femininity, fierceness, and flirtatiousness just that much more. Kudos to those dedicated to the new trend.. Be bold!!
